The Summer Piano Institute is for children that are currently taking piano lessons. These classes are to enhance and expand their knowledge of music and piano. Your child must be a current student of Cynthia Ali Studios LLC.

In this class your child will learn how to compose a song. They will be taught how to write on staff paper and also using the notation software (free) MuseScore.

In this class your child will learn how to play songs using a lead sheet. A lead sheet is a melody line only with the chord symbol for the left hand. It's a more creative and improvization way to play piano. It's a great skill to have in addition to note reading. It allows for an indiviual style for each piano player.
