Yearly Reflection, Present Moment and Looking Forward
First take a moment to REFLECT on what have you learned this year. Here are some suggestions to think about:
What songs have you played?
What chords have you learned?
What skills have you learned?
Did you perform for anyone this year?
Think about the PRESENT moment. Here are some suggestions to think about:
Are you satisfied with your practicing today?
Are you happy with the song you are currently working on?
Are you proud of yourself for how far you have come?
Does piano give you a lot of enjoyment in your everyday life?
Are you practicing as regularly as you would like?
After you have refelected over 2022, then it is time to set some GOALS for 2023. Here’s a list for you to help you set goals for 2023:
What would you like to learn this year on the piano?
What songs would you like to be able to play?
What skills do you want to become a part of your personal practice?
Are there any things you can improve from last year?
What songs do you have on your playlist?
Is there somewhere you'd like to perform this year?
Write the REFLECTIONS from 2022 and the GOALS for 2023. Keep your goals in front of your eyes, because this will help with the momentum as you move towards your goals.
